Research
  • 1860 Census lists “Zachariah Cump” at Ruggles Township, Ashland County, Ohio
  • The census record lists Zachariah at age 29, which assumes birth year 1830 or 1831
  • The census also lists Zachariah’s birthplace at Pennsylvania

Research
  • The 1860 Census lists Zachariah with a family
    Wife = Permelia
    Children = Winfield, Pilliard, Ada, Mary, and Galen
  • Each of the children are listed with a birthplace of Ohio, meaning they’ve been in Ohio since around 1853
  • This scenario still fits within the missing years of Grandfather Zachariah’s unaccountability
